Information for Employers
At the Business School we give undergraduate students the opportunity to do a work placement in their final year of study. Students are required to find their own placement, either by applying to a corporate scheme or by writing speculatively to employers. This gives them valuable job seeking skills, ensures they find a placement that meets their interests and results in only the most committed and enthusiastic students taking the placement year.
Advantages of our placement scheme to you as an employer:
• Our placement students are highly motivated and well qualified.
• Placements can be advertised at no cost to the employer.
• The decision to employ a student rests entirely with the company.
• Companies have an employee who is committed to developing his/her skills throughout the placement.
The Business School Career Service Centre provides comprehensive career services for all Broad students and assists employers in connecting with them.
Employers can post internship opportunities by contacting the Career Service Office directly. Many smaller companies and local employers do this and we encourage you to list part-time and full-time business related positions with us.
Listing an internship is easy and can be done at any time. Simply complete the Company Information Form and email it to us. We will post the position, and students who are interested will send their resume to the email address that you provided. You may then contact students in whom you are interested for an employment interview. Most employers conduct the interview at their place of business but we can also arrange for an interview room here on campus in the Business School.
