Postgraduate students in School of Business, Shantou University make academic visits to Hong Kong

On March 9, 2016, 22 postgraduate students in School of business, Shantou University, directed by the vice-dean Song Xiaobao, were going to spend a 5-day-long  exchange study in Chinese University of Hong Kong(CUHK).

The target of this academic trip is to have a strong grasp at the nature and methods of management study. It is a qualified course taught by professor Wong., a knowledgeable teacher of management school of UCHK. First of the agenda belonged to an insightful definition of science and its core features. Sophisticated as he is, the very intricate and inexplicable connotation was explained clearly and vividly, which endowed the students a perspective view of scientific research. The second part came to the exact process of management study, composition of papers and academic outcome assessment through accurately using the fundamental study theories and methods. Students were informed that exploring endeavor and paper creation should be integrated in a formal, structural and orderly process so that they could perform more directly and effectively. Responses from the students denoted that they benefited a lot from the course.
After class, Professor Wong. showed students around the greenery CUHK. This comprehensive university is a complex of strong academic atmosphere and freedom pursuing, with its motto ‘through learning and temperance to virtue’ , representing its equal emphasis on the intellectual and moral aspects of education. The most impressive site is an artificial pool at the top of this hillside-built university where students can overlook the whole campus, as well as have a fantastic vision of the close touch of the sea and the sky.
The visit is undoubtedly offering significant value to those students. They are looking forward to making a bigger step in their academic careers after earnestly digesting and reflecting on the wonderful course.
