The Exchange Program of ISM Summer University in the Baltics launched by ISM University of Management and Economics, took place from the 1st of July to the 19th of July 2013 (3 weeks), enabling undergraduate students to study during the best time of the year in one of the fastest changing regions in Europe.
Three students from the Business School, Yanming Huang(major in 2010 marketing), Xinyi Liu(major in 2010 Accounting), and Huiqin Li(major in 2010 Accounting),were selected to take part in the program in Lithuania. Participants were from all over the world, including USA, Korea, Portugal, France, Italy, Lithuania, etc. ISM University of Management and Economics is located at a revived and modernly renovated building that offers state-of-the-art learning and technical facilities: Harvard style classrooms, classical library, computer rooms, etc.
During the three-week program, the students studied two courses, IBE(International Business Economics) and IPM(International Project Management). In the courses study, the three Chinese girls were highly commended by the teachers and other foreign students for the responsibility and attitude. Also, all of the three students passed the strict exams in high marks. In the course study, the three students learned the European advanced education view and the creative teaching model, guiding the independent thinking and critical analysis ability. Also, the teamwork study and debating study model made us reap no little benefit.
Except for the knowledge study, during the program, exciting cultural and social activities were part of ISM Summer University as well. The University organized many activities, including the city orientation games, the weekend trip to the Lithuanian seaside, the Curonian Spit that is a UNESCO heritage site in Lithuania, the company visit in local and multinational companies including Western Union. It helped the participants deeply impressed by their warm heart and European culture. During the program, all of the participants learned international cultures and made good friends.
