It has been a while since I come back from Canada, but I still always remember the country which looks like a snow kingdom.
In my opinion, Canada is a country full of leisure and exciting. Most of people would not be at work on Weekend, and even the buses. If you want to go out and hang around, you would find that the shops would close at 6pm. However, you can see that they can having a party anywhere, they can change every platform into the dance floor, and they would shout and cheer at every competition excitedly.
Canada is also a democratic country. They hold Federal election in every four years. At that time, every vote is very important. You could see the speech and research in everyday newspaper, and you would see the discussion or debate between participants on TV.
Students here are in a self-study way. Usually, students will preview the textbooks first, bring the problem and listen to the class. So you can see hands up all the time during the class, and students would love to ask and answer questions. In the library, students would sit together comfortably and discuss the question. They would choose only 3-5 classes in one semester, so they would focus on these classes and learn it well.
A friend from Canada told me that, the most special part in Winnipeg is not the city, but the people. People here come from all around the world, so when you make a new friend, you will need to ask which country is he came from. Because of it, you will find that life is very interesting. You would listen different accent, play games from different countries, and understand different cultures.
In this four months, I know a city and a country. I really appreciate Shantou University and our country who gave me this opportunity to experience the exchange life. I also hope that more and more students can go abroad and see the beautiful world.
