st to August 3
rd, led by Huang Xianglong and Huang Zhiqi, 46 students from Business School visited Hong Kong to attend two lectures held by the University of Hong Kong(HKU) and experience the vitality and vigor of Hong Kong.
On August 1
st , the students attended two lectures in HKU. The topic of the first lecture is "Financial Regulation and Compliance Practice ". The speaker is Dr. Yat Fai LAM, Principal of CapitaLogic Co.,Ltd and Adjunct Professor from City University of Hong Kong. With vivid words, Dr. Yat Fai LAM，introduced the current situation of HK financial regulation and analyzed the relevant challenges.
In the afternoon, Mr. Derek Lee, Chairman of Youth Sub-committee of Hong Kong Electronics&Technologies Association, gave a lecture on the topic "Equipping yourselves for career development and business growth". He shared his own experience on business to provide the students with suggestions for their future career.
Besides attending the lectures, with three students from HKU as volunteer tour guides, the students had lunch in the canteen of HKU and visited the campus.
Because of Typhoon Nida, the Experiential Learning was cancelled on August 2rd. On the afternoon of that day, the typhoon grew weakened, so the students could go out by groups to visit some famous spots such as, Victoria Harbour, Causeway Bay and Tsim Sha Tsui, and enjoy local food.
On the morning of the last day, visiting the Chinese University of Hong Kong(CUHK) could be also regarded as a good chance to experience campus life in HK. During visit, Dean of Shantou university business school, shared the CUHK history with the students.
After finishing the tour, many students expressed that the tour was worth the time because it was a good chance for them to broaden their horizon and experience the modern vigor of Hong Kong.
