The 2011 AAPBS Academic Conference was held at City University of Hong Kong (CUHK in the following) between 11th to 13th May. Over 70 delegates, including Professor Kong Ying, representing some 40 business schools in the Asia-Pacific region were invited to the event.
Professor K C Chan, the Secretary for the Financial Services and the Treasury (HKSAR), Professor Kuo Way, President of CUHK, Professor Tim Brailsford, Dean of Queensland University Business School, Australia, and Professor Wei Kwok Kee, Dean of CUHK College of Business, addressed in the opening ceremony.
Topics of the Conference focused on 'nurturing global business leaders in Asia for the world'. Discussions on globalizing education, re-structuring MBA courses, and the industry’s expectations from business school graduates were carried out.
