On April 26th, the SIFE team of Shantou University successfully entered the national competition, after beating Sun Yat-sen University and Fuzhou University. This southern match of Xinfei 2010 SIFE China National Competition was hosted by Sun Yat-sen University. The STU SIFE team competed with teams from 13 other universities from southern China. Mr. Frank J. Sixt, the business advisor of the STU SIFE team was named “Best Business Advisor” of 2009-2010 SIFE China, and Associate Professor Zeng Fanqi was named “Best Instructor.” On May 21st, the STU SIFE team will go to Shanghai to compete with 40 other teams for the national championship.
In this competition, the STU SIFE team presented the achievements they had made in the past year, focusing on the Eco-tourism and Development Projects in Nan’ao and the Development and Extension Projects of Lichee in Leiling. The SIFE team also expounded on their projects in accordance with the six concepts of SIFE. The judges spoke highly of the development of the team’s projects and provided some advice. In the end, it was determined that the SIFE teams of Shantou University, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, United International College, Guangdong Pharmaceutical University, South China Normal University and Guangdong University of Business Studies will all go on to the National Competition.
