On 14th Mar, Dennis Lee, Vice Chairman of Asia-Pacific area, and Andrew Thomson, Vice CEO of SIFE came to ShantouUniversity. The two high officers aimed to deeply know about ShantouUniversity and directed the SIFE team of ShantouUniversity to join relating activities. Dean and Prof. Xu Zongling, Kong Ying, the director of International Exchange & Cooperation and Zeng Fanqi, the teacher of SIFE team of Shantou University met the high officers.
SIFE is a global nonprofit organization and was found in USA, 1975. It has solo running students teams in more than 2000 universities, in 45 countries. SIFE organization attributes to mold the Global Future Manager, organizes and encourages students to positively plan and actualize social practice program, transfers the concept and knowledge to those who need help and changes people’s solid thinking methods and increases their income and improves their life quality.
Shantou University paid more attention to the SIFE high officers’ visit. Dean and Prof. Xu Zongling, said that SIFE cultivates the future business elite who has social responsibility, plays a crucial role in improving student’s leadership, teamwork and communication abilities. We support students to join such competitions, service communities and hope students can seize chances and harvest good results.
In the morning of 14th Mar, the high officer and the teachers and students of ShantouUniversity had a communication in ACC No. 3 Meeting Room. Dean and Prof. Xu Zongling introduced ShantouUniversity to the officers and highlighted the cultivating target and development of BusinessSchool. At the same time, SIFE officers demonstrated the operation of this organization and specifically introduced the requests of SIFE program competition. And SIFE high officers praised our student’s social responsibility and gave a further instruction.
Nowadays, Shantou University SIFE team was founded and began to build up programs according to SIFE’s five core contents: spreading market economy concept, teaching success skills, transferring enterpriser spirit, popularizing financial knowledge and cultivating business ethic.
