Unleashing New Drivers of Growth: "New Quality Productivity and High-Quality Development of Private Economy" Forum Held at Shantou University

Shantou, September 21st, 2024: Shantou University played host to a pivotal forum exploring the dynamic interplay between "New Quality Productivity and High-Quality Development of Private Economy." This event, a specialized track within the broader 2024 Guangdong Social Science Academic Annual Conference, was held in the prestigious Library Auditorium at the university's scenic Sangpu Mountain Campus.

Organized under the auspices of the Provincial Federation of Social Sciences, the forum was expertly spearheaded by the Shantou University School of Business. Distinguished guests and participants included:

Professor Hu Zhong: Vice President, Shantou University, Mr. Li Xudong: Party Secretary and Chairman, Shantou Municipal Federation of Social Sciences

Professor Hu and Mr. Li delivered insightful opening remarks, setting the stage for a day of stimulating discourse. Renowned scholars from across China shared their expertise, including:

Professor Liang Qiang, Dean of the Shantou University School of Business , expertly moderated the proceedings.

Mr. Li Xudong, representing the Shantou Municipal Federation of Social Sciences, delivered the welcoming address, followed by Professor Hu Zhong's inspiring message on behalf of Shantou University.

The morning session featured a series of thought-provoking keynote speeches. Professors delved into the critical themes of private sector development, entrepreneurial spirit, enhancing entrepreneurial quality, and cultivating new drivers of productivity. The afternoon session transitioned into four parallel forums, offering a platform for in-depth exploration of specific sub-topics. Experts, scholars, and authors of selected papers from the conference engaged in focused discussions, sharing their latest research findings and fostering intellectual exchange.

The forum culminated in an award ceremony, recognizing and celebrating the authors of outstanding research papers. Professor Liang Qiang, Dean of the School, delivered the closing remarks, bringing the day's enriching program to a successful conclusion.
