Time : 2022-07-15

In order to further promote the spirit of patriotism and learn the spirit of struggle of revolutionary forefathers, enhance the ideals and beliefs of party members, cadres and staff of the school, from July 12 to 13, 2022, under the leadership of Zhibo Zou, Secretary of the Party Committee of Business school, a group of 37 staff members of Business School went to Meizhou City to carry out patriotism education and party education theme activities. During the activity, the faculty and staff visited the Sanheba Battle Memorial Park, Sanheba Battle Memorial Hall, Dabu County Museum, and Guangdong Chinese Hakka Museum, and studied the local red revolutionary history, heroic deeds of revolutionary pioneers, humanistic history, and folk customs in depth.

The Battle of Sanheba was the most crucial battle in Guangdong after the August 1st Nanchang Uprising, which played an important historical role in continuing to hold high the revolutionary banner, preserving the seeds of the revolution, and preserving the backbone and strength of the uprising army. Founding General Xiao Ke once commented that without the Battle of Sanheba, there would have been no subsequent Jinggang Mountain rendezvous, and the history of the Chinese People's Liberation Army would have been rewritten.

In the Sanheba Battle Memorial Park, there is a monument to the martyrs of the "August 1st" Uprising's Sanheba Battle, a battle memorial, a memorial relief cultural wall, a sculpture of a general in the August 1st Square, an experience trench and other red historical relics. In the Sanheba Battle Memorial Hall, there are five exhibition halls. A real historical picture, detailed documentation, a precious historical relics, vividly reproduced the heroic deeds of the revolutionary forefathers who struggled for their ideals. In the process of recalling the revolutionary history and remembering the revolutionary martyrs, the faculty and staff of Business School profoundly learn to understand the spirit of the Battle of Sanheba: "firm belief, courage to take charge, pledge to kill the enemy, military and civilian concentricity, pragmatic exploration, and inheritance of fire".

In this study activity, the faculty and staff of Business School received a profound patriotic education and revolutionary history education, and all of them were deeply infected by the patriotic sentiment and the spirit of struggling for the ideals of the revolutionary ancestors. They expressed that they should gather strength in continuing the red bloodline, not forgetting the original intention and remembering the mission, and perform their duties better in their posts and strive to make greater contributions to the construction and development of the school and the university.
