Business School Held the 13th Students Congress Successfully
The 13thBusiness School Students Congress was successfully held on Dec 21, 2008 in the Lecture Hall, Science Building. The Business General Party Secretary Mr. CHEN Mo-tian, the Young Communist League Secretary Mr. SU Jun-zhi, Ms. SU Bing-tian, Ms. CUI Wei-wei, the Class Advisor of Grade 2007 Mr. ZENG Rui and representatives of different students organization attended the congress.
The congress anchors were WANG Yu-jia and WANG Rong. In the preparative meeting, WU Hao, the vice-president of Students’Union gave a report on meeting preparation and representatives’ qualification examination. In the formal meeting, the Business General Party Secretary Mr. CHEN Mo-tian gave a speech on Relying on the theme of Students, Serving Students and Learning to Grow up, and raised three requirements about Respecting Majority-Focused on Students, Selfless Devotion, Learning to Grow up-Overall Development to the prospective new students’ union. The Young Communist League Secretary Mr. SU Jun-zhi recognized the achievement of the 12th Students’ Union in the last year and wished the new students’ union to become an excellent students group based on the students’ work culture of Union, Creativity, Competitiveness and Vitality in his speech. Then, CHEN Yan-fang, President of the 12th Students’ Union gave a working report on Accurate Positioning, Spirit of Down-to-the-Earth and Creativity, Striking to Create a New Perspective of Students’ Union Work. Afterwards, WANG Rong, Vice-president of the 12th Students’ Union read the Election Regulation of Students’ Union President to make sure that the congress can have a just and fair election.
The important agenda of the congress is to elect the president of the 13th Students’ Union. The 6 candidates respectively gave a wonderful speech on general analysis on the present situation of students’union and their own typical working plan. Each well showed great leadership and management ability. The candidates were responsive and confident when answering the questions from the students representatives. Their wonderful performance won applause from audience. From the candidates’speeches and debate we may know that the 13th Students’ Union will inherit the principle of Self-improvement, Spirit of Down-to-the-Earth and Creativity, Union among Teachers and Students, Serving Students. Its inner construction will develop in the scientific and civilized direction. It will strike to create new student activities based on the concept of improving learning atmosphere and protecting environment. It will definitely take the interest and benefit of general students into a more thorough consideration.
With the supervision of the general voting supervisor ZHAND Jie-yi, all representatives voted for candidates. In the end, ZENG Wen-sha was elected as the president of the 13th Students’Union.
