Business School Held Opening Ceremony for Students of Executive Graduate Course (2008)
On Oct. 12th, an opening ceremony for students of Executive Graduate Course (2008) was solemnly held by Business School in ACC. Leaders of Shantou University, Graduate School and Business School, professors and 75 students attended the opening ceremony.
Chen Yinglin, the director of Executive Graduate Course Program and Senior Marketing Specialist, presided over the opening ceremony. The assistant principal Prof. Lin Danming, Vice-dean of the Graduate School associate Prof. Wang Jianhua, Dean of Business School Prof. Xu Zongling as well as teacher representatives Prof. Huang Yan and Prof. Cheng Jiaming made a speech respectively. At different levels, speakers introduced the management and services, teaching and living, and related cases of the graduate education in Shantou University, also expressed their welcome to new students. They hoped that under the guidance of the excellent teacher team, students would apply the theory into practice, pick social responsibility and contribute more to the local economic development in future.
The class monitor Deng Yusheng on behalf of all the students made a statement. He expressed the determination and confidence to achieve good performances by learning from professors, from textbooks, from students each other. And he call on his classmates to work together to shape the "integrity, professionalism, competition, excellence" class culture, to harvest knowledge and friendship and create a better tomorrow.
After the opening ceremony, all the students and teachers also had a group photo, and students opened a new chapter in their campus life. The ceremony received attention from the media; the TV program of "the People's Livelihood Files" of Shantou City television station reported it.
