Recently, encountering the severe and complex situation of epidemic prevention and control in Shantou, Business School Shantou University Executive Education Program and MBA alumni from all walks of life made significant contributions to the battle of epidemic prevention and control.
With the mission of "creating new knowledge in business, expanding students' talents, promoting enterprise development and serving the local economy", EE programme, School of Business Shantou University, has cultivated many outstanding alumni over the years. Recently, in order to ensure the supply of living materials in the control area, the alumni of the School of Business Shantou University actively carried out donation and volunteer activities to help protect the daily lives of residents in Chaonan and Chaoyang Districts when encountering the severe and complicated situation of epidemic prevention and control in Shantou.
Alumni Action against Epidemics 1:
The alumnus Chen Zhibin (General Manager of Shantou Chaoting Food Co., Ltd.) quickly responded to the government's call to join hands with the Shantou Agricultural and Rural Bureau to help protect people's health.
In addition to donating foodstuffs such as dried pork, instant noodles, bread and mineral water, Chao Ting Foods also purchased a batch of paper towels, masks and other necessities, which were delivered to Chendian Town and other grassroots units safely and timely, which strongly supported the local epidemic prevention work.
Alumni Action against Epidemics 2:
Wu Jie (Deputy General Manager of Shantou Xiongxing Hotel Equipment & Supplies Co., Ltd.), together with members of the industry association, successfully raised charity funds and a batch of masks and rice, as well as 1,200 charity food supplies, with a total value of over RMB 120,000.
On 11 November 2022, employees of the company loaded the caring materials and transported them to the Chaoyang and Chaonan areas in need.

Yu Yutian (General Manager of Shantou Zhongchi Automobile Co., Ltd.), a student of Executive Education Program School of Business, took the initiative to contact the Red Cross Society of Chaonan District and called on all the staff of the company to collect donations.
On 12 November 2022, two trucks of anti-epidemic materials collected by the company were safely transported to the Red Cross Society of Chaonan District.

Qiu Lijun (Secretary General of Shantou Lion's Head Goose Industry Association), a student of Executive Education Program School of Business, not only took the initiative to apply to become a volunteer for the epidemic prevention but also actively organized donations from her association, using the fund-raising money to purchase supplies including 600 bags of rice, 400 boxes of pasta, 360 bottles of edible oil, 400 bags of ham sausage, 192 bottles of canned fish.
On 9 November 2022, in strict compliance with the epidemic control measures, the association successfully transported the donated materials to the frontline support, providing material assistance to areas in need.
Alumni Action against Epidemics 5:
Wu Zhengwei (General Manager of Guangdong Headwolf Enterprise Management Consulting Co., Ltd.), a student of Executive Education Program School of Business,formed a volunteer team of 23 employees.
They were stationed in various towns in Chaonan. Another 15 employees went to various community sampling points for acid tests. They provided a three-day volunteer service to assist in information entry, epidemic prevention publicity and material distribution.
In addition to the above actions, many anonymous alumni also played a significant role in fighting against the epidemic. The alumni and students of the School of Business Shantou University interpreted responsibility, commitment and dedication with practical actions to create a promising future!

Guangdong Deep Blue Intelligent Software Co., founded by Cai Xuhui, an alumni of Class 2011, donated a batch of medical KN95 masks, rice, edible oil, noodles and other supplies to the Red Cross Society of Chaonan District on 7 November.

Wu Zibin and Zhao Xin alumni of Class 2018, went to the Chendian community of Chaonan District, at 5.30 am on November 7 to fight the epidemic, going to collect basic information of personnel every day. At the same time, Zhao Xin, who is also the network information officer of the Chendian community, and Wu Zibin, who is also the information officer of the acid tests team, undertook the real-time reporting of the epidemic prevention data, giving full play to the advantages of the statistical profession and effectively breaking the data transmission blockage.
