Hong Kong Polytechnic University Professor Lu Yonghong Talked about Enterprise Development and Environmental Protection

Business School invited Hong Kong Polytechnic University Department of Management and Chairman of the Committee of Market Research Professor Lu Yonghong made the ninth academic Sharon in 2009. Prof. LU made a speech on “Stakeholder Pressures from Perceived Environmental Impacts and the Effect on Corporate Environmental Management Programs in China”. This lecture was chaired by Prof. WANG Wei.  

During the lecture, Professor Lu first briefly introduced the direction of his research. Then Professor Lu made a focus on his paper “Meeting the Challenges of the Corporate Environmental Management of Hong Kong Manufacturers in the Pearl River Delta Region”. The focus of this study is to examine Hong Kong enterprises in the Pearl River basin environmental management issues and it consisted of 2284 samples. The results showed that the public stakeholders of the changes in the external environment have strong reactions and his actions would have effects on the conduct of company executives. Finally, this article had further in-depth discussions on ”Why climate change stakeholders will have a negative impact".
 
Professor LU’s lecture was easy to understand and students and teachers learned a lot from it and led to heat discussions. Talks closed in the successful conclusion with a warm round of applause.
 
Speaker’s profiles:

He is the Hong Kong Polytechnic University Department of Management and Marketing Professor. In 1990, he had his doctorate in political science in the University of South Australia Finders. In 2001 he made a Juris Doctor in the Chinese People's University School of Law. He was the visiting scholar to the University of California, Berkeley Center for South Asian Studies and University of California, Institute of Public Administration in 1993-1994. During these periods, he made research with local scholars on Public Administration and the Environmental Protection.
