At present, the U.S. sub-loan crisis has become the global economic crisis. Every country has adjusted the industry directions and upgraded the industry in order to revive the economy. Shantou University Business and Management Education Center invited Prof. HUANG Yan to give a lecture on “Thinking on global Industrial policy development and the latest trends” to graduate class students on March 15, 2009 pm.
Prof. HUANG Yan compared the GDP, exports, unemployment rates and other economic indicators in China, America, and Japan and pointed the problems. Then she put her point on thrust of Obama Government policy and characters of evolutions. She also made a forecast on the developing trends of west industrial policy. Professor Huang later analyzed China's consumer price index, import and export trade, and other detailed economic indicators. She also gave some advices to small companies in Chaoshan area.
Students praised Professor Huang because of her rigorous, witty, erudite and informed style and this lecture made a successful ending. After the lecture students discussed questions with Prof. HUANG on SME innovation and modern business models.
Speaker Profile:
Prof. HUANG Yan was born in Jinzhou, Hubei province and she was Ph.D. in economics and Shantou University Business School’s Professor of Management. She was also Guangdong Economic Association member, Shantou City National Tax Consultant, Famous Enterprises Association in SHANTOU consultant, Shantou City Real Estate Association member. Her main research were: Industrial economic theory and policy and Business growth theory.
