On Nov.15 and 16, Dr.JI Yun of Business School was invited to participate in the 8th China Economics Annual Meeting which was co-hosted by Chongqing University and China Center for Economic Research at PekingUniversity. In the meeting, Dr.JI Yun delivered his academic paper "the Economic Analysis of Knightian Uncertainty -- An Interpretation for Collective Decision-making and Efficiency", and then he served as a critic to make comments on one of other scholars' papers.
During the meeting, Dr.JI Yun had a lot of academic exchanges with other experts and scholars who participated in this meeting and introduced the status of Business School of Shantou University to other colleges and universities, which had received a good response.
China Economics annual meeting since its inception in 2001 has been successfully held the seventh. The first annual meeting was held at Peking University in October 2001. The second to the sixth annual meeting was respectively organized at Northwestern University, Fudan University, NankaiUniversity, Xiamen University, and Wuhan University. The seventh annual meeting was co-hosted by ShenzhenUniversity, Shenzhen Graduate School of Peking University and the University of Hong Kong, which is the first annual meeting co-held by the three universities of Mainland and Hong Kong. Through 8 years’ development, the scale and influence of the annual meeting are growing gradually, and its academic status is becoming more important. Now, China Economics Annual Meeting has developed into a large academic event, which receives common concern and participation from academia, government departments as well as the media.
