Good News | Business School Students Achieve Good Results in the 2022 China Undergraduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling

The winners of the 2022 China Undergraduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling were announced recently. For the first time, the faculty and students of the School of Business formed a team and performed well in the contest, winning several awards. A total of 20 teams from the School of Business participated in the contest, of which 19 teams won awards, representing a 95% winning rate. The awards included one national first prize, one national second prize, two Guangdong first prizes, four Guangdong second prizes, eight Guangdong third prizes, and five Guangdong winning prizes. Among them, the team consisting of Xie Xiaoying, Luo Jingpeng and Zhou Jinhan (supervised by Prof. Liu Jiubing) won the national first prize, and the team consisting of You Junxi, Liu Xingyu and Lin Lingjing (supervised by Prof. Zou Zongbao) won the national second prize.

In recent years, the School of Business has been implementing the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, actively promoting the "Artificial Intelligence and Big Data plus Programs" interdisciplinary talent training system, attaching great importance to the cultivation of students' logical thinking and data analysis ability, focusing on the cultivation of students' innovative practical ability, and constantly stimulating students' enthusiasm to participate in disciplinary competitions. The successful achievement is the result of the joint efforts of the faculty and students, and is also an important reflection of the effectiveness of our "Artificial Intelligence and Big Data plus Programs" talent training system.
