On Feb 18, 2009, Mr. SUN Yafu, the Vice-chairman of Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Strait, visited the Shantou University. Professor WANG Weilian, Vice-president of Shantou University, accompanied Vice-president SUN to visit the campus and the new library which is being constructed, and introduced Shantou University's historical and present situation, the development and the plan to Vice-president SUN.
In the Business School, Professor XU Zongling introduced Business School's present development, the idea of internationalization and the situation of cultivating students to Vice-president SUN briefly. Vice-president SUN expressed his appreciation towards Shantou University, particularly Business School's fast development and the School’s idea in education. He wrote a calligraphic work with Mr. Li Ka Shing’s logion“ Establishing oneself and pursuing selfless goals” and present it to Business School.
