On the morning of May 8th, Vice President Liu Wenhua visited School of Business to conduct research on the theme of "building a high-level innovation platform and promoting high-quality development of STU". Li Song, Deputy Director of the Research Office, Liang Qiang, Dean of Business School, Guo Gongxing, Vice Dean of Business School, and other staff attended the meeting.

President Liu and his delegation first visited Research Institute for Guangdong-Taiwan Business Cooperation, a key research base of humanities and social sciences in general universities in Guangdong Province, and Center for Southeast Asia Studies, a key research base of humanities and social sciences in Shantou City, to learn about the research results and center development.

Afterwards, all the parties involved in the conference had in-depth exchanges on platform construction, team building, incentive mechanism and results identification.
President Liu listened carefully to the report and suggested that to build a high-level innovation platform, first of all, we should clarify the objectives and positioning, collecting resources and talent advantages to build characteristics of our school and further improve its influence. Secondly, we should adhere to the national strategic needs as the traction and conduct research to serve the social and economic development. Finally, we should focus on the training of young teachers, to build a well-structured, united and innovative research team.
