Vice President Chen Min Visited School of Business for Research and Guidance

On the morning of May 15th, Vice President Chen Min conducted a special research visit to School of Business. Participants in the research seminar included Huang Jingxia, Deputy Director of the Teaching Affairs Office, Long Yue'e, Vice Dean of Business School, Guo Gongxing, Vice Dean and Head of the Department of Enterprise Management; Zheng Muqiang, Head of the Department of Applied Economics, faculty members from the Teaching Affairs Office's Center for Faculty Development and Educational Assessment, heads of programs within the School, and administrative staff from the Teaching Affairs Office of the School.

During the research seminar, Vice Dean Long Yue'e of the School first reported on the implementation, achievements, and improvement suggestions of the undergraduate teaching quality assessment system of Shantou University in the context of the School.

 

Subsequently, all participants engaged in in-depth discussions around faculty development, program characteristics, and program development, exploring new pathways for comprehensive promotion of program connotation construction and high-quality development.

Vice President Chen Min gave full recognition to the undergraduate education and teaching work of School of Business and raised higher requirements for its future work. He expressed the hope that the School will make even greater contributions to the university's educational and teaching endeavors.

 

This special research seminar has provided valuable guidance for School of Business to continuously promote the connotation construction of undergraduate programs and the high-quality development of education and teaching. The School will continue to implement the student-centered and continuous improvement philosophy. With the policy of "promoting construction through assessment, promoting improvement through assessment, promoting management through assessment, and promoting strength through assessment", the School will integrate assessment requirements into the entire process of education and teaching, infuse evaluation work into daily activities, and comprehensively enhance the quality of talent cultivation.
