On November 20, 2023, the Guangdong Overseas Chinese Federation held the annual meeting of the "Guangdong Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurship Alliance" in Guangzhou. Shantou University's Research Institute for Guangdong-Taiwan Business Cooperation, in collaboration with the Entrepreneurship College of Shantou University and the Shantou Overseas Chinese Ph.D. Development Promotion Association, applied for and successfully obtained the designation as the third batch of "Southern Guangdong Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurship Base."
As an institution focused on Guangdong-Taiwan economic research, its participation in the "Southern Guangdong Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurship Base" is expected to facilitate stronger communication and collaboration with overseas Chinese entrepreneurs and other entrepreneurship bases. The institute aims to conduct forward-looking and practical research, leveraging its role as a hub for overseas Chinese and innovation and entrepreneurship services. This initiative is poised to inject new vitality into the economic development of Shantou and the eastern Guangdong region.
