On the evening of May 18, 2010, Vice President of York University (Canada), Prof. Lorna Wright, made a lecture on “Canadian Business Culture” for teachers and students of Shantou University on the 3rd Meeting Room in ACC. This lecture was hosted by Vice President of Shantou University, Prof. Danming LIN. Executive President of Shantou University, Prof. Peihua GU, and guests from University of Victoria also attended the lecture.
In the lecture, Prof. Lorna Wright made a comparison of the cultural differences between Canadian and American. Then she shared her views on the Canadian business culture and values with the audience. At last, she summarizes that Canadian commercial future will be in a trend of globalization, green environmental protection and e-government, etc.
Prof. Lorna Wright used a lot of vivid examples and had hot discussions with with students during her lecture. She spoke highly of the English fluency of the students of business school. This lecture closed successfully.
