Prof. Lorna Wright, Vice President of York University (Canada), visited Shantou University and attended a symposium with faculty of Business School in the 2nd Meeting Room in ACC on May 19, 2010. Vice President of Shantou University, Prof. Danming LIN, Prof. Wei WANG, Associate Professor Yi WANG, Associate Professor Zhong QIN, Associate Professor Jiali LIN and Associate Professor Jingqiang WU attended this symposium.
At the beginning, Prof. Yi WANG introduced Business School’s history, features, majors, teaching and research achievements and internationalization for Prof. Lorna Wright. Prof. Wright expressed affirmation and admiration for what Business School had done and she showed strong interests and willingness to cooperate with Business School. Then, two parties discussed the corporation possibilities on Student Exchange Program, Case Teaching Cooperation, and Undergraduate Internship Program etc. They also discussed the different education systems between China and Canada, which built up a good foundation for further cooperation and communication.
The symposium ended in a pleasant atmosphere.
