The Economic Society of Australia was found in 1925 and focused on fierce debate and public discussion. The 37th Australian Conference of Economists was held from 2008 Sep 30 to Oct 3 in the Gold Coast and discussed the issue including infrastructure, national bank, and trade. The economic problem under the background of globalization was central topic. More than 300 scholars from America, Britain, India, China, New Zealand, and Australia attended this conference, containing Peter Doherty who won Nobel award.
This conference was economics academy meeting. Dr. Qin Zhong read his two papers, Models of Trust-Sharing in Chinese Private Enterprises, and Ownership Structure, Performance and Determinants of Share Diffusion in Family Businesses: Evidence from China. During the meeting, Dr. Qin Zhong propagandized Shantou University, invited delegates in the meeting to visit Shantou University, and promoted the cooperation and communication between Business School and others.
