Associate Professor Xie Wenli Attended 2010 CIMA Awarding Ceremony in Shanghai

On the evening of 19th November, Associate Professor Xie Wenli attended the 2010 CIMA awarding ceremony (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) in Shanghai upon invitation. Mr Tu Guangshao and Mr Fu Yonglin, the respective vice mayor of Shanghai and Chengdu, British vice consul in Shanghai Ms Jacqui Booker, and 300 representatives, mostly comprised of senior supervisors in the Fortune 500s, as well as a number of well-known business schools attended the ceremony. Mr Tu addressed in his speaking that the contributions and efforts of institutions like CIMA will be indispensible in the endeavours of building Shanghai as a global financial centre.
 
Professor Xie introduced to the attended delegates from various professions the recent development of STU Business School. Volvo Financial Service, GE, Tencent, Wanco and DHL were awarded Best Partnership Employer, in reward for their contributions in training finance elites.
 
The 2011 CIMA Global Business Challenge was also announced to be held in August next year in Chengdu. Recognized as the Olympic Games in the business world, the competition aims to discover and develop undergraduates’ business instincts and to help them enhance their competitiveness. By the time of this issue, one of the STU Business School teams entered the final 6 places of Southern China Division. The South China Division Final will commence on 9th December.
