The 2010 International Conference of Logistics Engineering and Management (ICLEM 2010) was held at Hotel California in Chengdu.
Hosted by the College of Logistics of Southwest Jiaotong University, approximately 300 academics and professionals from various institutes and universities were invited to the conference, including the Institute of Supply Chain Management of MIT, Institute for Transportation Development Association of Civil Engineers, RWTH Aachen University, New Mexico State University, Asahi University, Waseda University and Transportation Planning Institute of China Railway Engineering Group. Associate Professor Bu Xiangzhi from Shantou University Business School was invited to the conference and gave a speech on the development of shipping container logistics in the academic exchange session.
Speeches were given by a number of academics and professionals covering the seven main report topics. In the academic exchange sessions, academics exchanged ideas and perspectives on strategies, policies, supply chain management, international and regional logistics, green logistics, urgent logistics, system and upgrade, equipments, finance, etc.
