Exchange report---Portugal Europe
2013 international business Huang Xiang
First of all, it’s an exciting experience to have such an opportunity to study in Lisbon Portugal. Thanks to CSC and Business School Shantou University.
I have to say goodbye to Lisbon after the 5 month exchange period. It’s really an unforgettable time when I studied there, traveled in Europe and encountered the culture and language differences.
I still remember my life in Lisbon. It seems that the city is very close to me because the life there is quite different and has a great impact on me.
CATÓLICA-LISBON School of Business & Economics achieves an impressive rise of 25 places and consolidates its leadership position in Portugal, according to the Financial Times ranking for the Top European Business Schools. I studied 4 courses which are business strategy, data management tools, marketing in new era and information management. The courses are rich because we have lots of discussions and team work except for the theory class. We designed our own project and exchange idea with students from different countries. The workload at school is not tough for exchange student. We can have sufficient time to do what you need to do in Europe. Such as go to the party and bar, go to the beach and surfing, travel to other European country.
There are sooo many things to share with you. I’d like to tell you what I usually do in a normal weekend. At Saturday morning, I will go a snack bar to have breakfast---a cup of coffee and a piece of bread. In Portugal, life is so convenient you can find a grocery store easily and buy the stuff you need for cooking and living. I cook lunch at home or invite friends to eat together sometimes. We will go to downtown to explore the city and have a native life style that lay alongside the beach to enjoy sunshine.
On holiday, I travelled to some countries such as Spain, France, Swiss, Germany and so on. Sometimes I travelled alone, to be honest, it is really relax, unknown and you will find the world is so large because there is always some surprise prepared for you. In Paris, I encountered ISIS bombed suicide attack. The whole city got into panic and I felt the romantic city mixed with panic atmosphere.
To sum up, studying abroad made a great influence on my objective and view. I get to know the world is so giant and it is now as a university student 90 generation to catch the chance to make your dream come true.
