Targicell, a team comprised of post graduate students (Li Wenjun, Jiang Yawen, Qiu Haiqin, Xu Wen, Wang Ke) from STU Business School, was recently informed by the organizing committee of their advancement into the semi-final round of the 2011 The mai Bangkok Business Challenge @ Sasin. The team will be departing for Thailand on 23rd February for the upcoming challenges.
Co-hosted by Chulalongkorn University and Market for Alternative Investments, or mai, Thailand’s stock exchange for small to medium sized public companies, the competition (formerly named as the Bangkok Business Challenge) was initiated in 2002 with the objective to encourage post graduate students in business schools in Asia to become more entrepreneurial. Considered the excellence and achievements attained, Shantou University was invited by the organizing committee, for the first time, in November 2008. It is worth mentioning, among other things, that Shantou University and Tsinghua University were the only two Chinese teams in the semifinal round then.
