On March 2, 2024, the 25th National Seminar on High-Quality Development Capacity Building for Business and Management Schools was grandly held at Zhejiang University of Technology in Hangzhou. The event was jointly hosted by the School of Management of Zhejiang University of Technology, the Global Entrepreneurship Research Center of Zhejiang University, the International Silk Road Entrepreneurship Education Alliance, and the Zhejiang Behavioral Science Society. The seminar was attended by nearly 50 business and management schools from across the nation, with over 120 leaders and officials participating. Dean Liang Qiang of Shantou University School of Business was invited to attend and deliver a report. The session was chaired by Professor Wang Zhongming, a senior professor of arts at Zhejiang University and an international accreditation consultant for AMBA & BGA in China.
At the seminar, Dean Liang Qiang shared insights on the AMBA & BGA Excellence Awards, highlighting the school's "Rural Revitalization Program", which won 2024 Best CSR and Sustainability Initiative SILVER. He discussed how the school has integrated CSR and sustainability concepts into education, research innovation, and community service following its BGA accreditation, and shared the comprehensive, multi-level, and global sustainable development strategy practices developed by the school.
The "Rural Revitalization Program" of Shantou University School of Business is a comprehensive and profound social practice project that fully demonstrates the school's commitment and actions in practicing social responsibility and promoting sustainable development. The diverse projects organized by the school, including farmer-assisting live commerce, service-oriented labor courses, rural practical activities, and public welfare activities, have not only brought tangible economic benefits to rural areas but have also made positive contributions to promoting rural culture, education, and health. In the new journey of comprehensively implementing the new development concept, the school effectively supports the sustained and healthy development of the economy and society, and continuously creating miracles for rural revitalization.
