Dean Liang Qiang of Our School Delivers Keynote Speech at the Asian Business School Sustainability Forum 2024

On March 28th, the Asian Business School Sustainability Forum 2024 was successfully held in Hong Kong, co-hosted by MBAChina and the MBA program of the Chinese University of Hong Kong Business School. The forum featured opening remarks by Dean Zhao Shanming of the Chinese University of Hong Kong Business School and Zhang Shihua, Founder & President of MBAChina. Over seventy participants, including business school leaders, educational experts, project managers, industry leaders, and entrepreneurs, attended the conference. The theme "Innovationand Collaboration: Leading the Future Development of Asian Business Schools" guided the keynote speeches and industry dialogues, focusing on the sustainable development of business education and innovative collaboration methods.


Dean Liang Qiang of School of Business Shantou University presented a keynote speech titled "Rooted in Chaoshang Culture, Collaboratively Advancing Regional Development." He stated that the School of Business strategizes around "Learning about local businesses and serving the immediate community; committed to globally recognised standard teaching and research" and adopts a new trinity of "Teaching, Research, and Community Service," committed to embedding Chaoshang culture and continuously promoting its integration with regional economic development, thereby contributing intelligence and strength to achieve coordinated regional growth.


Amidst the waves of globalization and regional economic integration, Shantou University School of Business is actively seeking in-depth cooperation with local governments and businesses. By understanding local economic development needs and trends and leveraging the unique advantages of Chaoshang culture, the school is undertaking targeted business research and project collaborations. These efforts aim to deepen the integration of Chaoshang culture with modern business practices, not only preserving and promoting this cultural heritage but also driving the sustainable, healthy development of the regional economy and nurturing business talents who possess both an international outlook and a deep understanding of local business culture.
