A Wonderful Report by Professor of ChinaCenter for Economic Research, PekingUniversity
On the afternoon of September 10, we were honored to invite Prof. Yao Yang to bring us a report about “Health Shocks, Village Governance, and Farmers' Long-term Income”in meeting room 3 of ACC. Prof. Yao Yang is vice Director of CCER in Peking University and the editor in chief of China Economic Quarterly. His field is Development Economics and Institutional Economics.
This report was finished by Prof. Yao Yang and another two coworkers. Prof. Yao Yang introduced the relative background, methods, data and result of this paper. As we all knew, disease would make a destructive shock to peasants without any medical insurance in developing countries. In a short term, it could lead to the shortage of labor supply, however, it might decrease savage, productive assets and make long-term debt increasing.
At last, Prof. Yao Yang interacted with teachers and students present and made a successful saloon.
