The STU Business School have been reputated as a keen participant who commit itself to providing support for the development of Shantou-the city where it geographically situates in.
In the recent 3 months, the local government of Jinping District has assigned four projects to the Business School: Implementation Plans for Jinping Centre for Trade and Consumption; Implementation Plans for Jinping City Administration Centre; Implementation Plans for Jinping Centre for Science, Education and Culture; Implementation Plans for Jinping Clinical Centre.
Professor Xu Zongling, Dean of Business School, was appointed the General Consultant and Academic Advisor; Mr Zhang Shengguang, Jinping District Mayor, was appointed General Director; Professor Huang Yan was appointed the Principal Administrator and General Writer; a team of 20 consisting members drew both from Jinping district government and Business School is set to conduct joint research for the aformentioned projects.
So far, the draft of the first Implementation Plan mentioned above has been completed and is now garnering comments. The other 3 Plans are in the data collection stage-consistant with its scheduled progress.
Expectations are that the projects should underpin the core conceptions of 'accelerating transitional upgrade, for building a happy Jinping', and should embody the principles set out in the national 12th 5-year Plan.
Research on the 4 projects will conclude in the end of September. Overall progress has been smooth.
