At 3:00, 28th March, 2009, XIAO Liling who graduated from the Business Management of STU Business Scholl in 1991 made a splendid speech in the third hall of ACC. Mrs. XIAO is the Construction Bank branch president of Longhu area in Shantou. The topic of her speech was innovation. The Vice-Chancellor LIN Danming and Business School Dean XU Zongling attended the lecture. The assistant of Alumni Office CUI Weiwei chaired this lecture.
At the beginning, Mrs. Xiao introduced the definition of innovation to students and the surviving title”Innovation to survive and Conservation to die”. The definition of the innovation is “searching goals—good ideas—actions”. During this process, if your methods are right you will succeed but if your methods are wrong you will fail. Students participated in the lecture and atmosphere was active.
The last part of the lecture, Mrs. Xiao gave three tips to students. The first one was: Knowledge does not equal intelligence. The second one was: Intelligence is enhanced through the practice. The last one: Intelligence becomes perfect through practice. And she also shared her university life with students.
At last, CUI Weiwei made thanks to Mrs. Xiao and presented a gifts to her. The lecture closed with warm applauses.
