The 6th (2011) Academic Seminar of the Business School was held on 12th April. Dr Liang Qiang of School of Business, Sun Yat-Sen University was invited to give a lecture on 'the studies on strategic entrepreneurship--origin and development'. Professor Li Yue of STU Business School chaired the seminar.
Dr Liang started his lecture by introducing the difference and relation between strategy and entrepreneurship, theories in the subject area, the development of research on strategic entrepreneurship and some of the potential key issues. Liang firstly introduced that his conception of strategic entrepreneurship derived from his studies focusing on comparing strategy and entrepreneurship. Theories in the subject area include mental strength and leadership requiremnts for entrepreneurs, norms and customs in enterprises, as well as resource management and innovation and development. Liang then followed on to present his opinions on effectively tackling with weaknesses while preserving and expanding advantages. In the end of the lecture, Liang introduced the suject areas he will be investigating in.
The lecture ended with thoroughly harmonious atmosphere.
