Mind and Hand, Make Waste Profitable -Activities for 12 • 5 International Volunteer Day
At 9:00 am. December 6, 2008, 12 • 5 international volunteer service activities began on the pedestrian street.
The theme is: "protect environment, dedicate volunteer’s service". As one of the organizers for 12 • 5 International Volunteer Day activities, Youth Association of Business School provided waste materials to students to make a variety of toys and write a short statement of environmental protection. First, these little toys can be given to children of school for deaf-mutes; second, the activity can educate children with environmental knowledge. The event attracted a large number of students, many of them had written some environmental suggestions and best wishes on a green poster board for deaf-mute children.
The event demonstrated the creativity and benevolence of students. And it not only enhances the awareness of environmental protection, but also enriches the cultural life in campus.
