On 3:00 PM ,21st ,March, 2009, alumni CHEN Zhenzhen who graduated from International Economics and Trade (international financial direction) major of Business School STU, made a wonderful speech in the third auditorium in ACC. The theme of this speech is “Employment and mutual encouragement”. CUI Weiwei, a teacher of Communist Youth League, held this lecture.
At the beginning of the lecture, Party secretary of Business School CHEN Motian confirmed the successes that achieved by CHEN Weiwei and expressed the good impression of her: self-reliance, diligent, hard-working, responsibility.
CHEN Zhenzhen said that she defined this meeting as a sharing meeting not just a lecture. Her lecture had two themes: livelihood in University and employment. As to life, she said that she was a happy girl but when she was sophomore, her father passed away. She took up the duty to support her family bravely by taking lots of part time jobs such as several tutors at the same time, doing part-time jobs in library. She said:” sometime you will be at a loss facing the life, but it also makes you stronger.”
At the same time she stressed the importance of attitude. She said:” Life is just an attitude. Different attitudes, negative or positive, pessimistic and optimistic, will bring you to different world.” CHEN Zhenzhen said when she was in difficulties, her own strong character and the supports from school and families, friends encouraged her a lot. So she never gave up and made success. Though she was busy at that time, she took every chance to enhance herself. She hoped students make best use of their university lives.
Then CHEN Zhenzhen expressed her own opinions on the employments. She introduced the current severe employment situation and made some ways to deal with it. She said our students should have three qualities: diligent attitude, professional skills and good attitudes. We should take the advantage of the resources in school and enhance our qualities for our further development。
After the lecture, Secretary CHEN Motian made briefly comments:” What ZHEN Zhen said is very simple but meaningful. She is a steady girl.” Then students asked her many questions and she answered each question with patience. And then this lecture closed in harmonious and peaceful atmosphere.
