I am Chen Jun Le, who is interested in video production, sound effect and media. So I attended this course in this summer vacation, which is an eight week course in TSM and TFC. JIKEI COM arranged a translator for us in Japanese to make sure us understand the class. So it is easy for us to get to know the teacher’s meanings even though the teacher spoke Japanese. We can learn what we want without language problems.
Also, we were arranged four days Japanese class for the reason why we should learn some daily Japanese languages.
After Japanese class, we started to have the Stage Design lesson. It was a little hard for us to be a carpenter at first because we knew nothing about design. We just did as the teacher required. All the data and sizes were given. We felt that we were not designing, but being a carpenter without own ideas. Later, I realized what I thought was wrong. We could not design without the foundation of cutting wood and experience. Only we did it by ourselves did we know the principle of design.
Then, we learned to make the sound effect. It was very exciting because I like it very much. I made some footsteps by using the Pro tools. It sounds like real. And we had the video production class, in which we knew how to shoot video and write a story. Lighting was also important in video production because it can express different atmosphere in different scenes. We produced a five minutes video at last as the ending works.
The mode of education in Japan is very different from the one in China. Japanese are concentrated whatever they do, they do the best. I think it is very important to find out our hobbies so that we are eager to learn and do. I wish I can learn in Shantou University, using what I have learned in Japan.
