On December 20, the "Jinwei Cup"—the first Tour de Nan’ao cycling, which was sponsored by the Nan’ao country government and undertaken by Shantou University SIFE team, formally kicked off on the Nan’ao Island, Shantou city. More than 400 contestants from Korea, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan regions, and Dalian, Wuhan, Guangzhou and other places attended this cycling.
The competition is divided into the Road Open Group, the General Group of Mountain, Road Common Group and Experiential Group. Players from all corners of the country were riding along the highway traffic circle, competing fiercely. The relatives and friends of each player cheered for them. 
Besides Intense competition, some players were shocked by the beautiful natural scenery and came out a heartfelt admiration for their initial arrival of the island. As a veteran cycling amateur, when Luo Chang, from Guangzhou city, talked about his feelings of the Tour de Nan’ao, he said: "I have been to many places in competitions, and this my first time to come to Nan’ao, the air is fresh, and the road condition is not too bad either, it feels great to compete here! "
According to the introduction of the organizers, Nan’ao County Government, the competition is based on the form of organizing a cycling to expand the popularity of Nan’ao Island, and to better develop Nan’ao Island’s eco-tourism route. Since the October 15 online registration has opened, the competition received great attention of cycle race amateurs from all over the country, even from South Korea.
As one of the Organizer of this competition, students of SIFE team from Shantou University also came to the race venue to assist the smooth conduct of competitions. Project leader Wu Weizhong told reporters: "The tournament is co-sponsored by the SIFE team and Nan’ao county government; but we found the Li Gang advertising company and Meilida Company for partners to plan it with Nan’ao county government."
