In the afternoon of December 29, Business School Professor Huang Yan was invited by JinshanMiddle School to deliver a lecture called "Financial Tsunami, the Rise of China and How Students to Become Talent" for teachers and students of senior two.
Professor Huang Yan employed accurate and detailed data, charts and simple language to analyze the causes of the current global "Financial Tsunami" and practical affects, introduce China's economic development situation and existing problems and give her own advices to the middle school students on how to deal with the affects of the current economic situation. She encouraged the students to retain optimistic and positive mind, use a correct outlook on life and values to calmly face the challenges from study and life, keep continuous self-reflection and work hard to enhance the overall quality of their own.
The lecture received high praise from the Middle School teachers and students. On the end of the lecture, many students and teachers still felt not satisfied, and went on communicating with Professor Huang on the current economic situation. Some teachers also hope Professor Huang to recommend students a list of books, Professor Huang happily agreed to this request.
The lecture, which was jointly organized by Admissions office of ShantouUniversity and ShantouJinshanMiddle School, not only opened up the vision of middle school students, but also promoted the friendship between our University and JinshanMiddle School.
