The 4th Chinese Summer Workshop on Information Management was held in School of Management, Huazhong University of Science and Technology during June 19th to 20th.Professor Wang Wei attended the meeting on invitation,presented her thesis “Explaining the Role of User Commitment in Innovative Use of Information Systems” and had in-depth discussion with domestic and foreign experts and scholars.
The Chinese Summer Workshop on Information Management was sponsored by Association for Information Systems China Chapter, Chinese-American scholars and famous foreign professors. It aimed at promoting the exchange and research of information system and information management between domestic and foreign scholars. Professor Wei Guoji, the former AIS president and dean of Business School, City University of Hong Kong, Professor Zhao Jianliang, the Chairman of CSWIM Advisory Board and information system department head of City University of Hong Kong, Dean Zhang Jinlong of School of Management, Huazhong University of Science and Technology and scholars from North America and other places attended the meetiong. They discussed in detail the future research area of information system and exchanged experience. Professor Wei Guoji affirmed the history and achievements of Chinese Summer Workshop on Information Management and considered it with great meaning.
Combined with correlational study, scholars had an in-depth exchange through theme lectures, group exchange and symposiums. Chair Professor Liang Dinpeng from School of Management, National Sun Yat-Sen University , Taiwan made a report on social effect in electronic commerce. From respects of social network analysis, trust, familiarity and social support, he made an analysis combined with Facebook, Micro-blogging, online community, social reference, shopping online and other major social and trade activities. Besides, two symposiums-- 《High-end Information System Magazine Publishing Strategy Reasearch》and 《The Future Direction of China Information Management》let scholars understand China cutting-edge information systems research topics.14 group exchanges were conducted with the subjects of Online Pricing, IT Economy, Data Mining and Applications and Product Service System.
