From July 6th to 7th, 2010, Business School held 18th Construction and Development Seminar in Panlongwan Resort. The issues of discipline construction, teaching management, MBA management, ISO construction were discussed. Development Advisory Committee Director, Prof. Xu Erming attended the seminar and gave an important speech. All the staff of Business School attended the seminar.
Dean Xu Zongling made a report on the work in past semster of 2010 and assigned tasks for the new one. She summarized the achievements and problems we had in faculty development, discipline construction, academic achievement, teaching management, personnel training and international co-operation and made a “Ten Tasks” Arrangements for the future work. On a strategic perspective, Prof. Xu Erming put forward a proposal on MBA Education of Shantou University.
Professor Lin Danming described the future planning of Shantou University. He pointed out that Business School had been widely praised for “International Education”, “Personnel Training” and ” Local Services” and hoped we speed up development and push the School to a new stage. Associate Dean, Prof. Ouyang Feng reported the work of teaching management. Principals of the teaching and research divisions, Institute of Chinese Economic Research Institute, Institute of Taiwan Studies and MBA Education Center made work reports respectively. Directors of International Exchange and Cooperation Program, Research Program, SIFE Program, International Competition Program, Undergraduate Admissions Program, Internships and Employment Program and College Office made work summaries. Besides, attendants also discussed the issues of Teaching Cases Writing，Internships，MBA Education and ISO Construction and raised their suggestions.
Prof. Li Yue, Secretary of Party General Branch summed up the seminar and confirmed the results. After the seminar, the staff of Business School visited “Leiling Lichee” Program carried out by SIFE.
