[Competition]
Participants were divided into A, B and C group. Shantou University, with Wharton University, National University of Singapore and Auckland University, belongs to C group. After tough competition, Wharton University won the group competition. Although Shantou University cannot go into final, their excellent performance indeed left deep impression on others.
At this competition, participants got the case of DSB, Denmark National Railway Company. Participants had to solve the problems including marketing, strategy management, etc and carried out a power point and a report within 32 hour. During the final presentation, participants had 15 minutes presentation and 10 minutes for Q&A section. Shantou team had already done some prediction and preparation of Danish companies but never had thought about DSB, like the other foreign teams. Shantou team tried to do all they could to change their bad position. They divided into 2 groups to do field investigation personally in CBS campus, including staff, students and visitors, which proved that their decision was right later. They handled a lot of information which the material didn’t contain.
On February 27th, 2015, McGill University from Canada won the competition, Thammasat University from Thailand and Wharton University from America got the runner ups.

[Students’ Conclusion]
It is a great pleasure for us to participate in CBSCC and competed with other top universities worldwide. That was a good chance for us to realize our own deficiencies and overcome “culture shock”. Shantou University has English improvement program and help from foreign teachers, languages and different modes of thinking are still big problems when coming to a foreign country. Everyone will have their own definition of culture shock. We surprisingly found that foreign students are interested in Asia and their opinions about current affairs, like the relationship between HK and mainland are quite different from us. We are still lagging behind and need to polish up whatever in social skills and the ability to deliver message.
At last, we want to thank King Wu for spending their precious time to train us, giving advices and courage to us. In addition, we want to thank Li Ka-shing Foundation for support us so much.
