Good News: Two majors of Business Administration and International Economics and Trade were Selected as National first-class Undergraduate Major Construction Site in 2021

Recently, the Ministry of Education issued a document announcing the list of national and provincial first-class undergraduate major construction sites for 2021. Two majors in Business School, namely Business Administration and International Economics and Trade, were selected as national first-class undergraduate majors. At present, all five undergraduate majors of Business School have been selected as national or provincial first-class undergraduate major construction sites, among which three undergraduate majors have been selected as national first-class undergraduate major construction sites, and the ratio of undergraduate majors selected as national first-class undergraduate major construction sites is up to 60%.

 

The Ministry of Education has launched the "Double Ten Thousand Plan" for the construction of first-class undergraduate majors since April 2019, aiming to comprehensively revitalize undergraduate education, improve the capacity of universities to cultivate talents and achieve the connotative development of higher education. The selection was finally made through online declaration by universities, review by the competent departments of universities, evaluation by the Teaching Steering Committee of Higher Education Institutions of the Ministry of Education and voting recommendation.

 

Business School will take the construction of first-class undergraduate majors as an opportunity to further improve the planning of professional construction, optimize the structure and layout of majors, enhance the connotation of professional construction, actively promote and implement the interdisciplinary talent cultivation system of "artificial intelligence and big data + majors".create a cross-fertilization of disciplines, and create the characteristic of schooling with transdisciplinary, integrated thinking skills, entrepreneurial and innovative capabilities.
