Vice Dean Yue'er Long first made a special report on the summary and plan of undergraduate education, analyzing the situation of undergraduate education from the aspects of general situation of undergraduate teaching, quality assurance work and effectiveness of teaching, effectiveness of talent cultivation, shortcomings and improvement direction, etc. She also made a deployment of work priorities in the new academic year in the construction of first-class majors, teaching research, construction of curriculum thinking and government, classroom teaching reform, construction of "artificial intelligence+" majors, mobilization of undergraduate students for further studies, and construction of internship bases, etc.

Vice President Hong Yu pointed out that 2022 is the year of the 20th Party Congress, and also the first year after the 40th anniversary of the founding of Shantou University, the theme of this year's Teachers' Day is "Welcoming the 20th Party Congress, cultivating the soul and raising new people". After the faculty meeting, the Business School Union also held a fellowship activity to celebrate Teachers' Day.
