During August 20 to 23, 2008, Prof. Zheng Guohan, the Acting Dean of Business School in the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and his wife came to Business School of Shantou University. Prof. Xu Zongling, the Dean of Business School in STU, welcomed their coming. This time, Prof. Zheng Guohan reviewed the construction and development of STU Business School, and made a report about the construction and development of Business School under the background of globalization.

The development & innovation, the meanings of globalization, the requirements of economic globalization and the competition and cooperation under globalization were the four main points of his report. Also he highlighted that how to position and to set target for Business School under the background of globalization, and introduced the successful experience in HKUST Business School. As the development advisor and the visiting professor of STU Business School, Prof. Zheng Guohan didn’t his hometown, cared about STU Business School. He also communicated with teachers and students in STU Business School, and proposed a pile of constructive suggestions. Both Business School in STU and HKUST had short history and a fast development way. However, the Business School in HKUST relied on its internationalized faculty, courses, students and plats to edge on top Business School all over the world.
