Thanks to Shantou University Business School and China Scholarship Council, I got the opportunity to pursue an exchange semester at Catolica-Lisbon school of Business and Economics, Catholic University of Portugal.
Schoolwork
Catolica-Lisbon is the best business school in Portugal. It ranks No. 25 in Europe and No.45 in the world according to the Financial Times Global Business School Ranking. In this semester, I had five lessons: Strategy, Organization & Leadership, Strategic Management of Innovation, Human Resource Management and Product & Service Management. There are varied course sets in different course, which includes theorical classes, discussion classes, case study, course project, individual reports, etc. Most professors have practical business backgrounds. They are nice and creative so it is enjoyable experience to take lessons for me. During the semester, students are required to form groups with classmates who are from varied countries to do the course project, so it is also good opportunities to learn more about other cultures. After one-semester study, I finally achieved good results in terms of my coursework.
Social Events
Colorful and exciting activities and events also lighten up my exchange life. I joined the Erasmus Social Network and Erasmus Life Lisbon since the start of this semester. During my exchange period, I took part in a lot of activities like Carnival, Fado Night, Museum Festival, ELL Anniversary, Erasmus Sunset, EuroNight, etc. Besides, I did some volunteer work for local communities. There is an Easter holiday in the middle of my exchange semester, which brings me chances to explore Europe by travelling around.
The exchange semester in Lisbon will be a life-long memory for me.
