On September 14, 2022, School of Business Shantou University welcomed the new students of 2022 full-time master'sdegree students. Under the guidance and coordination of the leaders of the university and the college, the postgraduate volunteers were well prepared, cooperated tacitly and worked in an orderly manner, and the orientation work was carried out smoothly.
Although the weather was hot, it could not stop the enthusiasm of the new students to enter the new life track, nor could it hinder the eager expectation of the brothers and sisters for the students. Volunteers were on duty at the reception point of Business School in the multi-functional hall of Sports Park, waiting for the arrival of new students.

At the check-in point, the college has prepared photo frames for new students to take pictures. Whether it is the message and welcome message such as "Youthfulness is flying, business school is setting sail", "Catching up with the sun and moon, business school is waiting for you", or the interesting hand-held placards such as "Business school meets, thumping 'new'", all of them are filled with the expectations of the college staff and students for the new students' arrival, hoping to preserve the memory and warmth, excitement and joy of the new students of the class of 2022 at the first moment of their arrival through photos.

In the process of new students' check-in, volunteers divided the work carefully and cooperated closely, so that the check-in process was carried out in an orderly manner and the new students could go through all the admission procedures smoothly. During this period, the college leaders came to the site several times to give guidance to the orientation work, and expressed warm welcome and kind instructions to the new students. The teachers, volunteers and new students had a harmonious atmosphere, and the check-in point was full of laughter, and everyone took pictures and chatted together, which reduced the new students' disorientation and alienation to the new environment, so that they could naturally and quickly integrate into the business school family.

In order to do a good job of epidemic prevention and control, family members and foreign vehicles were not allowed to enter the school this time for the new students' check-in. Volunteers braved the hot weather and vigorously carried out the volunteer spirit, patiently guiding the new students to the dormitory, helping to carry their luggage and solving their confusion.

The golden autumn in Shantou is still as hot as summer, and the restlessness and anxiety are still there. After saying goodbye to the undergraduate study environment and embarking on a new journey in life, the new students inevitably still feel lonely and nostalgic about leaving their hometown, and confused and hesitant about being in a new environment. Volunteers and teachers infect them with enthusiasm and care, hoping that they can adapt to the postgraduate life better and faster, so that they can have confidence in life and expectation for the future, and be surprised at the first sight of Shantou University, but also thumped for a long time.
