The Shantou Learning Forum was held in Shantou Library Lecture Hall on 8th November. Prof Zongling Xu, Dean of STU Business School, delivered the report 'Opportunities and Obstacles-An Analysis of Shantou's Competitiveness'. Shantou Municipal Propaganda Department, Shantou Social Science Association and China Unicomm (Shantou) co-hosted the forum.
Prof Xu's lecture focused on the effective combination of production factors, demand, industries, strategic structuring and intra-industry competition in the course of promoting competitiveness.
The significance for the city's officials to set out policies in accordance of those by the national and provincial party committees was also stressed.
