After the notice of selecting exchange students OverseasAcademy with WhitmanCollege, WasedaUniversity and University of Melbourne in the program of OverseasAcademy, STU received positive response from every college. SO our school set up a special assessment panel and Vice-Chancellor WANG Weilian was appointed as the team leader, the represents of EnglishLanguageCenter, International Exchange and Cooperation Department, Office of Academic Affairs, Whitman College of U.S. as the members of assessment panel. By assessing the application submitted by the applicant of the Evaluation Materials, 12 outstanding students were elected to enter the second round of interviews from 35 qualified students.
On 13th March,2009, the assessment team assessed every student by English communication skills, problems analyze ability, leadership, Character and quality of specialty areas. Finally, XIONG Xin, a 07 Grade student of our college was elected as an exchange student to WasedaUniversity because of her outstanding performance. She will go to Japan this autumn and spend one year as a exchange student in Waseda University.
