On 14th March, 2009, SIFE teammates went to GuangZhou and took part in pre-training of South China competition. This training was held in XIONGLongdeActivityCenter of the east campus in ZhongshanUniversity and 10 SIFE teammates of STU participate in it. Besides STU, there were SIFE teams from Zhongshan University, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, JinanUniversity, South China University of Technology, South China Normal University, Guangdong Pharmaceutical University, Guangdong University of Business Studies, SouthChinaAgricultureUniversity, XiamenUniversityTanKahKeeCollege, ShenzhenUniversity, ZhuhaiUnitedColleges and other schools in South China.
Alax Patrick, Senior Advisor of KPMG, explained “what is commercial writing” and “how to write commercial emails” in the morning. And Michelle Sun who also came from KPMG made speech on methods and skills during making speeches according to his working experience. During the training, team members had a better understanding of South China Competition’s preparations.
Afternoon meeting - SIFE Southern Region Outstanding Alumni Sharing Session, was presided by David Huang and Jason Hu coming from ZhongshanUniversity. They shared their experiences with SIFE teams from other schools and made some suggestions. SIFE team in ZhongshanUniversity was one of the earliest team-building and had many projects. The course of the impassioned speech inspired the passion for the coming challenges.
“A head for business, a heart for the world” is the belief to all SIFE members. With this motto, SIFE teams had improved their general abilities with using Business models to improve other people’s lives. Although the SIFE teams had been set up lately and most people knew little about it, SIFE teammates believed that the future of SIFE would be bright and more and more college students would grow up through it
Finally, pre-training of South China competition ended successfully and had achieved the desired results. SIFE team members of STU collected lots of study materials and took them back to school to share with other teammates who have not anticipated the training. All of them have more adequate confidence and clear direction about the future developments.
